There are a few types of tournaments in the game.
There are tournaments throughout the day. You can join the first one and there is a second chance if you miss it. There are many Game Modes such as, 2v2's, 3v3's, Dropshot, and Rumble. You have a rank in these tournaments and when you win one you get a title of what season you won and what rank.
RLCS stands for Rocket League Champioship Series. It is tournaments with esport rocket league players.
